August 2, 2014 @ 10:15 am - 11:45 am

10:15 am – 11:45 am    Point Loma III E

The West Coast Confederation of Pilipino Students (WCCPS) was an outcome of the 1974 Far West Conventions and held a successful West Coast Wide Conference at UC Davis in 1975. They pushed their administrations for P/Filipino American Studies and faculty. Today’s students continue involvement with annual Pilipino Cultural Nights (PCN’s) and Friendship Games as well as celebrating October as Filipino American History Month with campus events, alumni gatherings and P-Grads. This roundtable will attempt to bring together generations of students, alumni and community activists to share and address the lessons and experiences of the past and the challenges of today’s Filipino American Student Movement

Presenters: Florante Peter Ibanez, Rose Ibanez, Jaime Geaga, Casmiro Tolentino, Veronica Meneses, R. Brown, Felix Tuyay, Sal Flor
