Making Filipina/o Students’ Voices Matter: Teacher Participatory Action Research – Point Loma III E

Pin@y Educational Partnerships, an ethnic studies educational pipeline, utilizes Teacher Participatory Action Research (TPAR) that engages teachers in a process of culturally and community responsive research that aims to improve their effectiveness. TPAR also gives teachers the knowledge and skills to conduct deep investigation of the central root causes of these issues. Ultimately, TPAR’s goal is to create Teacher Action Plans that guide how they create curriculum, how they implement their lesson plans, and how they create meaningful relationships with their students and the communities in which they live.
